So

have seen the McDonald's side of the proposed
restaurant. Balmoralsaysno will give the residents perspective

the proposal and how the resource consent process is

for images of the area and the problems we anticipate. Here is some more information from the our side. Read the following council peer reviews and McDonald's responses. There is quite a lot of information to digest - and some of the files are large.... Review against the proposal... Noise Traffic (well here's a huge surprise.) And more traffic (same conclusion.) And yet more traffic (mmmm... same conclusion as the previous reports - what is it McDonald's don't get yet? (5.4 mb PDF!) You tell me.... Urban design ("Applicant needs to investigate modifying current plan" - Yeah Right) Review doesn't care! Arborist Review Soakage Wastewater and Water Silt and sediment Lighting (lots of changes suggested) McDonald's Responses Noise - "All the councils comments are based on flawed facts with no evidence to support the allegations" Various - A few changes proposed by McDonalds (but not the 30' sign..... ) Traffic - "The intersection will perform more or less as it does at present" (latest traffic report concludes :- ...Dominion Road north approach and Wiremu Street experience delay and over capacity at present and the additional traffic generation from McDonald's would worsen the situation) |
